Our first "Family" Photo Shoot

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to have Mandy Owens (www.mandyowens.com) photograph Evie (and we are in a couple :)) for her 1st birthday!! We went to Craven's House on Lookout Mountain and other than it being 90 degrees and our poor photographer being close to 8 months pregnant, it was fabulous!!

Evie's First Easter

Evie's first easter was a grand one! The little tike loaded up with count them FIVE easter baskets! Needless to say the easter bunny did not miss our house! We had an easter egg hunt at our house then following church at Mammo's house with my mom's side of the family as is traditional. It was a great day! P.S. Evie is VERY firmly in her "mommy phase" poor mike..thats why I am in all the pictures, not just because I like looking at myself... :)

This has been a very busy last few months for our family Evie began crawling, pulling up, cruising and said her first two words, mama and dada all since January! Busy lady! She LOVE LOVES LOVES her books, and we are very fortunate where most babies want to read and have the attention span of a few minutes, we often are "requested" by evie shoving books in our face to read as long as an hour straight! Now if she would just sleep...:)

Evie's Baptism

We are delighted that Evie was baptised at our church, Wauhatchie United Methodist on January 25th, a day before she turned 8 months old! Her gown was made by a family friend of the Sneckenbergers, Janice Jones, from Mike's mother's wedding gown train. I was a memorable event and we were so fortunate to have so many family and friends with us to share it!

We were truly blessed this year to have Evie in our lives for Christmas. She now has her own Toy's R Us in her bedroom! We were happy to have the Sneckenbergers visit us for the holidays this year!

Halloween 2008

For Evie's first Halloween we had to blow it out big time. She had a different halloween outfit to wear everyday of the week of halloween and 2 trick or treat bags (that unfortunately she left both at home :( We had a great time though trick or treating with Aunt Smelley and Uncle Chris and visiting Aunt Mimi, Mammo,Aunt Diane and Uncle Jim, Gigi, Do dah and Uncle Tyler and Aunt Heather, OH MY! What a busy night we had! Evie dressed of course in Disney gear as Nemo the clownfish!

Evie 4- Months!

Evie has been growing like a weed! I cannot believe she is as old and as big as she is now! This past month she has been HILARIOUS. She rolled over for the first time..yea!! And thinks she need to attempt to do it again EVERYTIME she lays down. She is recognizing things like bottles and people (she favors her momma, daddy, gigi and pretty much everyone else she is suspicious of..) She is pretty much a handful and wakes us up in the morning by talking to her mobile in her crib. I think they are pretty good buddies at this point! :) She hasnt dropped the nighttime feeding yet but we are really working hard on making her comfortable so maybe she will soon!!

Evie made her big appearance at church this past weekend for the first time and over to Gigi and dodah's house afterwards for some scenic pics. She is grabbing anything and everything and sucking on it right now and thinks she is HI-larious, which of course we agree.

This month has been full of exciting things, from celebrating Evie's mammo's 91st birthday to pooping on Grandma. Her outfits just get cuter with age and she loves to dress up for out outings! She is her dad's own "mini-me" as everyone who sees her says "She looks just like Mike"! She is smiling all the time and finally sleeping in her crib at night (for the last week!) though not all the way through the night yet! Still any progress we will take! Evie is turning into a chatty cathy and will talk to you alot and though I cant understand her I imagine that she is talking about clothes or going to the mall.

Evie smiled for the first time last week! Despite her colic, we can usually catch a few precious smiles like this a day! She cracks us up! She normally smiles while looking at her extensive wardrobe, can you blame her? :)

Evie turned one month this past monday and it has been the longest and quickest month of Mike and I's life. She does not like to be put down so one of the 2 of us has her at virtually all times causing the traditional new parent lack of sleep.

Little Evie surprised us all by coming 2 1/2 weeks early on 4:14 am on Memorial Day. After being at the hospital for 4 hours she arrived weighing 7.2 lbs. She is doing great and we both are looking forward to being discharged from thehospital tommorow!

Nursery Update- Part 3

This is the nursery pretty close to being finished. We are minus the bumper pads and some bedding but other than that we are pretty finished!

The nursery is coming along, we have our furniture in and the shelves intact. We are still working on the valances, her canopy and the wall decor! Hopefully when it comes together it will be a little girls palace!

Trenton Shower 4-12-2008

My Aunt Jimmie, Sister-in-law Heather and fabulous friend Lyndsey through me this dynomite shower in Trenton on April 12th. Lyndsey handmade the awesome diaper cake that you see with the brown and pink receiving blankets and my edible cake was AWESOME!! They had a clothesline of little baby clothes as decorations and baby sneckette is going to be one stylish girl at least for the first year! The pictures are one with me and my hostesses (left to right-heather smith, jimmie dee bradford, me, lyndsey mullins) and one of me with fam (left to right - my grandma, dee anderson, mikes mom, mary jon sneckenberger, me, my mom, kay smith). All and all it was a great day!

I was fortunate enough to have Elizabeth Owen and Sandra Seymour throw me the CUTEST shower at the English Rose this past Saturday. We dined on authentic "English" delights and it was SUPER adorable! I have included some pics of the decor and the guests!

I am getting used to this feeling of "expanding" as Baby Sneck grows. She is getting a bit cramped in there and is letting me know in no uncertain terms that she is ready to get out! The picture is of me in the blue shirt is at 27 1/2 weeks and the multi-color was taken last week at 33 weeks.
